Bobby and Ileana were married in Fraser Colorado, a rustic wonderland in the Rocky Mountains. A beautiful barn wedding featuring the bride and groom’s adorable (and drooly) hound dog, gorgeous weather, a super fun and energetic crowd, and the most mind-boggling cotton candy sunset I have ever photographed! I had the pleasure of second shooting this wedding with Kelly Whitman Photography. I love when Kelly brings me along, she has the sweetest clients, who always have the best group of people around them to help celebrate. This wedding was packed full of lovely gestures and personal touches, and was the absolute best celebration! The slightly overcast weather made for a dreamy pastel color pallet, that brought out the soft colors of the mountains beautifully. Music was extremely important to the couple, and their wedding was absolutely full of it! From a live rendition during their ceremony by some close family members to the groom serenading his bride with his acapella group from college, it was so perfect. If you are going to have a rustic wedding it’s basically required to have a fire pit and a s’more bar, and this couple delivered! I mean, just being out in the open air of the Rocky Mountains doesn’t feel right without a toasty marshmallow in my opinion. After dances and heartfelt toasts, the party moved to the open-air deck and the dance party kicked off with a traditional Mexican wedding processional dance, it’s kind of like the conga led by the newlyweds. The line snakes through the reception area, going under and over each other. It is a blast! In the middle of the processional, the sky was teasing some pinks and oranges and all of a sudden exploded in vibrant colors. The sky painted with cotton candy colors to add to the celebration. The bride went running toward the sunset, with her groom, Kelly and I whooping behind her, to capture the special moment. Ileana called to her guests, and every single one of them came running and cheering, eager to join in. It was one of my absolute favorite wedding moments ever. After a rocking dance party, the couple ended their day with a festive sparkler exit and drove away in their decorated jeep. This wedding was such a pleasure to help capture and will be one I’ll remember for the rest of my career. Congratulations Bobby and Ileana, may your marriage be as heartfelt, genuine, and fun as your wedding day.
