Robertas & Yaroslava, Grant Humphries Mansion, Colorado Wedding Photography
You’ve probably seen her name on my blog before, and that’s because she is a dream to second shoot weddings for. Alysha Ann Photography, thank you so much for bringing me along on another of you gorgeous weddings. Robertas & Yaroslava were married on a beautiful sunny day, September 2nd, 2017. Robertas’ dress was one of my favorite I’ve ever photographed. The flower detail was so beautiful, and suited her sunshine personality just right. They had a very intimate ceremony, with only their best friends and close family attending. The ceremony was held at the Grant Humphries Mansion in Downtown Denver. The historic building is such a stunning setting for a wedding (or just about anything else, it’s ridiculously cool). After the ceremony and some couples portraits we moved the entire party over to Cheesman Park for family portraits. The couple loves the bold architecture around Denver, and made it a point to schedule photo time to travel around to different locations for portraits (which I loooved!). It’s not often we have so much creative licence on a wedding day! After family and of course some more couples photos, we took just the bride and groom to the University of Denver for some more stunning backdrops. It was definitely worth the trip! A short while later it was time to meet the rest of the family at La Merise Restaurant, which the bride’s brother-in-law owns. The reception was so festive, full of culture and a dance floor covered in balloons. The couple also played the “Shoe Game” during their reception. If you’ve never heard of it, here’s how it works. The couple both take off their shoes, and give one to their partner, so they both have one of each. They sit back to back, and someone will ask them questions like “who snores the loudest?” and “who is the most likely to be late?”. The couple holds up the shoe of the person they think fit the answer, and the results are usually hilarious. Thanks again to Alysha Ann Photography for trusting me to help capture your lovely couples. Congratulations Robertas & Yaroslava!
