Derek & Aly, Meadow Creek Lodge & Event Center Wedding. 

I loved second shooting this gorgeous mountain wedding with Alysha Ann Photography. Second shooting is so fun because I have an opportunity to be extra creative (like using my prism, which is how I created the rainbows), and I always enjoy working with such a talented photographer! 

Derek and Aly were married in a mountain field on a beautiful July day in 2018. The blush and pinks of their color palette complimented the greens of the Colorado foliage perfectly, and they couldn’t have asked for better weather!

One of the most emotional moments of the day was Aly’s first look with her parents. I love when brides set time aside to make the reveal special for their families, it is a tradition that I just love. 

Instead of a first look Aly and Derek opted for a “first touch”. They kept their eyes closed, but they held hands and had a private minute together before their ceremony, it was such a sweet moment. 

Aly has a beautiful little daughter, and Derek really went above and beyond to make her feel super included in the wedding, he even wrote her some vows as well! 

The couple had a wood fire pizza truck cater the reception, and the dessert table was full of cookies and treats that Aly baked herself!

The reception was full of laughter, great dancing, and glow sticks! Congratulations Aly and Derek!
