Tori and Miles had the most unique and intimate Colorado Coffee shop wedding this past June 2019. If you want some inspiration on how to incorporate personal touches into your wedding, you’ve come to the right blog. Tori and Miles were so intentional about making their wedding their own. Tori is definitely not a traditional type bride and opted to wear a beautifully fitted red gown that complimented her style perfectly. They chose the East Simpson coffee house in Lafayette Co, for their venue. The ceremony space was set up in a circle so the couple could enter their marriage surrounded by their favorite people. The day started getting ready together at the coolest Airbnb in Louisville. Many of their guests stayed at the house with them, and a colorful cottage next to the house served as the bridal suite. Tori and Miles were together throughout the day, and we were able to build in time before the ceremony to do family and friend portraits in the super charming backyard of the Airbnb. Even their lovely Great Dane, Chester was able to join in the festivities! Once we made our way over to the coffee shop, we started the party with a pre-ceremony cocktail hour! It was a great way for the bride and groom to spend some extra time with their guests before the ceremony. Tori and Miles walked each other down the aisle, and began their ceremony by signing the marriage license, and then holding it up like the Lion King and singing “Naaaaaa-siennnnnn peeeeen yaaaaaaa” it was freaking epic. Some heartfelt vows and a kiss later and they were officially married! Which meant the start of the second cocktail hour. (Two cocktail hours is the recipe for a great reception!). The decor for the reception was absolutely incredible! Paper flowers, which were handmade by the bride and groom themselves lined the walls. Miles spends a lot of time in China for his job, so to add some Eastern flair they had their friends and family make all sorts of origami animals that were placed on every table. Laser-cut paper lanterns lit up tables for the reception, and origami filled twinkle trees added a soft ambience for dinner. One of the highlights of this fun wedding was the unity ceremony. Some people have a unity candle, or a sand ceremony, or plant a unity tree with soil from each other’s home town, but all of those options were too mild for this awesome couple. So they had a unity volcano, and it was the best thing ever!! We spent the rest of the evening dancing our hearts out, and ending the night with a lively rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, to which everyone gathered around the newlyweds and serenaded/sang our hearts out! I’ve known Tori for many years, and it is so special photographing weddings for my friends.
